The Game

Ravel X is similar to Ravel. Both games are two-player turn-based board games. They last at most 40 turns.

How to earn points

There are two ways to earn points:

–Form solid horizontal or vertical lines.

In the image below,

board with solid green line

Player 2 (GREEN) earns 24 (=3x8) points for the solid green line along the bottom of the board. This happens, even if it’s Player 1’s (BLUE’s) turn.

–Occupy the circles along the diagonal.

Each circle occupied along the diagonal earns the player of that color one point. In the image above, Player 1 (BLUE) earns 4 points for the four blue circles, while player 2 (GREEN) earns 8 points for the 8 green circles.

Player Diagonal Points Line Points Total Points
1 (BLUE) 4 0 4 + 0 = 4
2 (GREEN) 8 3x8=24 8 + 24 = 32

To win, you’ll have to strike the right balance between simply occupying the diagonal circles as much as possible each turn, and forming solid lines, which is quite a bit harder, but earns points much more quickly.

Length of the game

The game lasts at most 40 turns (20 per player). However, if either player manages to earn 250 points more than the other player, then the game ends and the player with the higher score wins.
